Single digits 7 segment led display
Seven-segment displays use light-emitting diodes to release light energy in the form of photons. The product is illuminated to show the numbers in all seven sections, with the eighth section being the decimal point.
When this happens, remember that an LED is a solid-state optical p-n junction diode. So it allows current to flow through its junction.
The diode facilitates the forward flow of current from an external voltage, a process known as electroluminescence. The color ranges from red to blue to green, depending on various impurities in the semiconductor material that helps produce it.
The decimal point comes in handy when connecting two or more seven-segment displays. The reason is to display decimal numbers or to give multi-digit representations.
